Gregory House Programs annual Kahu Mālama Award Dinner and Silent Auction is scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Moana Surfrider.

We are honored to announce the 2023 Kahu Mālama award recipient, the late Joe Pineda. Joe will be awarded posthumously, as we celebrate our 15th annual Kahu Mālama event and commemorate the 35th anniversary of Gregory House Programs. Joe was an avid and long-time supporter of Gregory House Programs. An exceptional realtor, Joe often advocated on our behalf for furniture donations from his client portfolio for Gregory House Programs two transitional housing sites and for program participants being housed. His husband Tom Merrick will be accepting the award on his behalf.

Please join us as we honor the life of Joe Pineda, and celebrate 35 years of providing housing for people living with HIV/AIDS. We look forward to sharing our work of Housing Is Healthcare with you all.

The Kahu Mālama Award recognizes an individual or entity that has demonstrated extraordinary contributions to Gregory House Programs or the HIV/AIDS community through advocacy, financial support or other means. This year the fundraiser will benefit housing and food needs for over 400 individuals.

Gregory House Programs, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, is the only provider of HIV/AIDS housing services statewide, and provides case management and nutrition services on Oahu to over 400 people living with HIV and their families each year. Our programs help improve the quality of life and well-being for our community’s most vulnerable and economically challenged members and in the long run improve the public health of our community. Housing is especially essential for persons living with HIV/AIDS as it keeps the door open to continuous medical care and life-extending treatments.
